Cris Derksen - War Cry [Movement I]An evening of pop + improvisations got off to a great start with Cris Derksen's loop-based work on cello, voice + keyboard. Spontaneous and in the moment, but with lots of truly beautiful details embroidered in her sound, touching on the full range of musical ideas she's been exploring in her Orchestral Pow Wow project and her Arthur Russell-ish disco improvisations.
